A Delegation from the University of Tripoli and the Islamic Reform Association Visits the New Turkish Ambassador to Lebanon
The President of the Islah Islamic Association and the University of Tripoli, Lebanon, Professor Dr. Raafat Mohamed Rashid Al-Mikati, visited the newly appointed Turkish Ambassador to Lebanon, Murat Lotam, at the embassy headquarters in Rabieh.
The delegation included board member of the Islah Islamic Association , Mr. Mohamed Khaled Mikati, and the university’s public relations officer, Mr. Mohamed Darniqa.
The delegation congratulated the Turkish ambassador on his new assignment in Lebanon and extended their best wishes on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
They discussed the long-standing friendly relations between the University of Tripoli, Lebanon, and the Islamic Reform Schools on one side, and the Republic of Turkey on the other, spanning several decades. The discussions also covered ways to strengthen cultural, academic, and humanitarian cooperation between the two sides.
As a token of appreciation, the delegation presented the ambassador with copies of the latest publications from the university and the association, inviting him to visit the Islamic Reform Complex.
For his part, the new Turkish ambassador warmly welcomed the delegation, expressing his gratitude and appreciation for the efforts of the university, the association, and its educational institutions in the city of Tripoli. He also wished for Lebanon’s recovery following the recent war, hoping for prosperity and well-being for both brotherly nations.
